MANDELTRÄDEN

Nu i februari blommar mandelträden på Mallorca. En fantastisk syn! Det är det vanligast förekommande trädet på Mallorca och det lär finnas över sju miljoner stycken. År 1890 kom vinlusen till Mallorca och dödade alla vinrankor. Bönderna var tvungna att tänka om och många ersatte då vinstockarna med mandelträd. Nu finns det en hel del vingårdar här igen och det finns några riktigt bra viner från Mallorca. In february all the almond trees are in bloom on Mallorca. A fantastic view! It is the most common tree on the island and they say there are more than seven millions of them. In 1890 the wine louse came to Mallorca and killed all the wine stocks. The farmers where forced to rethink and most of them replaced the wine stocks with almond trees. Now, however, the amount of wine yards on Mallorca deliver quit a few really nice wines.
